The BenchSmith was selected for this project by city planners and engineers. They know what the average customer does not.
We were required to submit detailed plans of the custom bench to the city engineers for review.
The review process lasted around 6 weeks where they requested to see our bench in component form to ensure
our Joinery tolerances and techniques were up to their standards. There are many things that can make furniture
last for years or have the "wobbles" like you have seen in some old wooden kitchen chairs.
These differences are why the city selected our benches over several teak suppliers, which were only blocks from the center of the project.
Love Park has been home to hundreds of demonstrations and
is visited by 100,000’s of people monthly. This project exemplifies the quality of our products – It has past the test of time standing up to the city traffic and harsh winters for many years.
