BenchSmith’s clientele list has been growing each year. This is attributed to our quality teak furniture production for years. We maintain excellence by ensuring that our teak wood is dried properly. We import lumber from overseas plantations. Even though the lumber is kiln dried overseas before reaching us, the wood may not have uniform moisture content. To ensure that the lumber has uniform moisture - we deploy a method called “Stacking Out”. In simple words, we stack the lumber to be dried evenly. This method usually takes 2-3 months until the wood is ready for the next step (Ask a local cabinet maker how important this method is).
When the lumber is at the desired 10-12% moisture level, we begin to mill the wood through precise machining, CNC and digital machines. This is considered 100% machine made. CNC and digital machines help BenchSmith cut the wood to exact dimensions. We assure that our teak furniture will be of the best quality even after 5 years of purchase. BenchSmith uses CAD drawings for custom pieces and standard lines for our teak furniture. This method ensures that the products purchased are of exact details and dimensions. Our customers need not implement any trial and error methods in building furniture. We spared no expense when it comes to epoxy. We believe in using the best adhesive available for outdoors. West System epoxy has been proven to be the best among boat builders. It is a five part marine epoxy guaranteed to withstand the elements of Mother Nature. Quality control is part of our process from beginning to end. During the milling of your teak furniture, if a piece of lumber does not meet the exact specifications, it is not used. The wood is either cut up for making other smaller parts of the teak furniture or it is completely discarded.
These are some of the reasons why BenchSmith has become successful with our clients.
